Founder Institute is the world’s largest pre-seed start-up accelerator, having helped launch over 3,500 companies across 180+ cities and six continents.
In 2020, Founder Institute leveraged Sponsor Circle’s technical and industry expertise to create a national sponsorship strategy and launch its first competitive bid process.
Sponsor Circle created a competitive offering to legal firms to become the national partner for five of Founder Institute’s Canadian locations. The auction solicited bids from many firms, but ultimately Torys LLP was secured as the new national partner. Torys LLP is an international business law firm with a vision towards being a Canada-wide partner of the start-up community.
Sponsor Circle has helped Tory’s to further track the partnership success through the Sponsor Circle dashboard that tracks levels of social engagement, brand lift and sales conversion.

Objectives
• Analysis & Evaluation – Identify and recommend opportunities and associated brand f or partnerships
• Bid platform – Coordinate request for bid process that is entirely managed and tracked on the platform
• Negotiation and Close – Coordinate with Founder Institute and Torys to finalize the contract and faciliate the transaction.
• Reporting – Tracking of campaign hashtags and media mentions around the new strategic relationship.
